Certain members of the Fourth Degree serve as Colour Guards and Honour Guards at civic and religious functions, an activity which has brought worldwide recognition to the Knights of Columbus organization. Honour Guardsmen have mastered the "Manual of the Swordsmen". The Vice-Supreme Master wears a light blue lined cape and chapeau. The Master wears a gold lined cape and chapeau. The Faithful Navigator of the Assembly wears a white lined cape and chapeau. The District Commander of the Colour Corps wears a green lined cape and chapeau. The Colour Corp Commander wears a purple lined cape and chapeau. Finally, all other members of the Colour Corp wear red lined capes and white chapeaus. Being a fairly new Assembly, we also have a fairly new Honour Guard. However thanks to the assistance of several veteran Knights who transferred to Archbishop Carney from other Assemblies we have made a great start in establishing our own Honour Guard. |
